Business Support Manager

Salary: £32,500 per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Support Manager to join our security services company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing business support operations, managing administrative and operational staff, and supporting the company’s business development activities. Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience working in a security company in a Business Support Manager role or similar position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage work schedules, allocate tasks to administrative and operational staff, and delegate responsibilities to ensure the efficient running of business support and development functions.

  • Oversee the handling of business correspondence, enquiries, and documentation relating to client accounts, sales records, service contracts, staffing requirements, and statistical reports.

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify new business opportunities, expand the company’s client base, and increase revenue within the security services sector.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, contractors, and public sector organisations to secure new contracts for services such as manned guarding, mobile patrols, and event security.

  • Prepare and manage tender submissions, proposals, and service agreements in response to client requirements and procurement opportunities.

  • Coordinate with operations managers to ensure security personnel deployment meets contractual obligations and agreed service level agreements.

  • Monitor sales performance, client satisfaction, and contract delivery, preparing reports and recommendations for senior management.

  • Ensure company policies, compliance requirements, and industry regulations relevant to the security sector are followed in all business activities.

  • Organise and coordinate company resources, including staff, equipment, and operational support, to ensure effective delivery of security services.

  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, staffing allocations, and business development activities to support operational planning and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience working within a security company in a Business Support Manager role or a similar position.

  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Experience in tender preparation, contract management, and client relationship management.

  • Good understanding of security industry operations and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
